MILITARY COMPETITIONS

The Two-day Military Performance Trials (TMPT) is a sporting military performance event for all military personnel of armed forces, involving teams of two servicemen.

It requires a varied amount of physical and military skills but it is not a competition!

The TMPT takes place annually on the Tuesday and Wednesday before Ascension Day.

Professionals and reserves servicemen of all armed forces can enter this event, which takes place around the military base Harskamp.

The TMPT is organised by the TMPT-committee, in which the Royal Association of Netherlands Reserve Officers (KVNRO) closely co-operates with the Physical Training/Sports Organisation of the Royal Netherlands Army.

The TMPT is affiliated with the Bureau of International Military Sports (BIMS).

Registration TMPT 2011

Professional and reserve military personnel from all armed forces services may participate in the 63rd TMPT, which will take place on 31 May and 1 June 2011, with Harskamp Army Camp / General Winkelman Barracks serving as the centre point.

Arrival and report at the TMPT-desk on monday 30 May from 16.00 until 19.00 hrs.

Registration - only as a team of 2 persons - will start on 3 March.

Successful completion of the Trials entitles competitors to the Cross of the Royal Netherlands Association of Reserve Officers, the so-called TMPT-Cross.

This decoration may be worn on the military uniform.

INVITATION & CONTEST REGULATIONS

On date of January 29^th 2011 the ASORL shall organize its nocturnal exercise « 33. MARCHE INTERNATIONALE ASORL », to which you are cordially invited to participate. It will be a military patrol, whose main objective will be nocturnal orientation. We ask you to send back the enclosed registration form not later than January 15^th2011,

Location : L-9674 NOCHER, 1, un Knupp ( Centre polyvalent). ( +/- 15		km from WILTZ)

Saturday, January 29th	Up from 09.00 AM	Arrival and registration of competitors
	05.00 PM	First teams start
Sunday, January 30th	07.00 AM	Breakfast
	about 10.00 AM	Announcement of results

Participants: Active and reserve forces from Germany, Belgium, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Netherlands, USA and Luxembourg. A team comprises 3 competitors. As mission instructions are translated into German, French and English, it is advisable for at least one member of the team to have knowledge of one of these languages.

Objects:	About 20 km-march, partially across country,
	Orientation by means of map, compass, sketch map and current orientation methods,
	Obstacle crossing (natural and artificial),
	Handling of equipment and weapons,
	Shooting,
	First aid,
	Identification,
	Sporting performance,
	General military knowledge.
The competition will be held regardless the weather!!!
Marking: The final result is calculated from the score, obtained at the workshops, the marching time and the orientation exercise along the circuit. There will be only one overall result for all participating teams. Excepted stops at the workshops, an ideal marching time will be fixed to cover the circuit. If you exceed this ideal time more than 2 hours, your marching time will not be scored. Team classification (only the best one) is also planned for the following disciplines:

2 Workshops
Prizes: The overall winner will receive challenge trophy and the replica. Members of the three best teams will receive a gold, silver or bronze medal, according to their classification. The members of the best team in each discipline will receive a medal.

Challenge trophy conditions
*	The winner takes care of it, defrays for any damage and accepts to make it available for the next MARCHE INTERNATIONALE ASORL or eventually defend it.
*	Engraving of the winning team's name is at the team's expense.
*	The challenge trophy gets definite property of the team, which:
	a) wins it 3 times in sequence
	b) Wins it 5 times at all.

Clothing, equipment and food: Appropriate BDU, according to national regulations. (No sport clothes). Carrying firearms is forbidden. Electronic night-vision equipment and transmitter/receiver are not permitted. The only equipment, supplied by the organizer, will be the map; it is useful to bring with you: flashlight (small size), compass, ball pen, protractor (1/20.000), and other things that you think useful. At the end of the exercise you will have the possibility to rest a few hours; don't forget sleeping bag, camp bed. At the start a march ration will be supplied to each competitor. Breakfast (comprised in registration fee) shall be served on Sunday, at 07.00 AM.

Responsibility and discipline:
1) The participation will be at the own risk and the competitors are responsible for all damage the may cause.
2) The team-leader is responsible for the discipline of his team.
3) Serious offences will entail the disqualification of the team.
Are considered serious offences: bad or disloyal behaviour towards competitors or organizer
use of fraudulent material (especially maps or documents)
disregarding civil law or highway regulations
4) By doing registration, all competitors accept these rules.

XII DRAGON RECON - International Military Patrols Competition - Military Area Barraks "Capone" - Persano (Naples) - Italy - 15 to 17 october 2010

The twelfth edition of the International Competition for Military Patrols DRAGON RECON, organized by the UNUCI Regional District of Campania - Naples section, will be held in the District Military Barracks "Capone" in the community of Persano, near Naples - Campania Region - Italy, 15 to 17 October 2010.

l'Association Européenne des membres de Corps et Organismes Publics de Sécurité et de Défense organise le

21° Challenge de Tir Sportif

Challenge Général Bigeard

Le concept de ce challenge sportif est d'acquérir, au travers de programmes sportifs européens, des brevets et qualifications, officiels et associatifs, validés par des représentants des pays concernés.

Il est ouvert aux professionnels de la sécurité et de la défense, actifs et retraités, réservistes ou sous contrat.

L'athlétisme, la natation, la course d'orientation et quelques épreuves en tenue de combat sont au programme. Il n'y a pas de classement, chacun réalise les minimas des barèmes des brevets
convoités.

Enfin, les plus jeunes sont également les bienvenus, dès 8 ans, toujours dans l'esprit sportif et le dépassement de soi, leur permettant eux aussi, d'acquérir des récompenses.
